  • Overview

    The Pilot Trainer is primarily responsible for the company's initial and recurrent training required to maintain currency and proficiency for all pilots in the company.  This position will work under the direction of the Training Manager to ensure all training requirements for pilots of the King Air and/or Pilatus aircrafts are met.  This position is based in South Jordan, UT, however, shift coverage at our bases may will also be required to meet the needs of the operation.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality instruction in flight training to ensure applicant success.
    • Review applicant folders for complete and accurate information.
    • Conduct ground, flight, and other training as assigned. 
    • Complete all training records accurately and in a timely manner. 
    • Communicate with other instructors as needed regarding student progress.
    • Communicate with the Director of  Operations and Chief Pilot regarding student progress. 
    • Maintain the flight training standards as outlined by both the FAA and our company.
    • Maintain the policies and procedures of the General Operations manual. 
    • Maintain all assigned students training records and folders in compliance with the FAA and Guardian's policy. 
    • May be asked to cross-train in the Pilatus PC-12.
    • Strive to improve the effectiveness of instruction through regular evaluation of courseware and course content.
    • Serve as a float pilot as needed to maintain currency in aircraft operations, some travel required. 

    Qualifications

    • 2500 hours total time
    • Airline Transport Pilot's License
    • Previous King Air flight experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous 135 experience
    • Previous PC12 and/or King Air experience
    • CFI and/or instructing experience
    • 3000 hours total time
    • 1000 hours PIC
    • Pressurized flight time
    • Turbine flight time
    • Extensive high-performance time
